Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 30-10-2024

1. Introduction

FiestUp.com ("Service") allows users to connect with their Spotify Premium account to create music parties. Users can invite others to join these parties and collaboratively control the song queue. The music will play through a device of the party creator’s choice that has Spotify open. This Service acts as a remote control for Spotify, allowing users to manage what songs play and when they play.

By using this Service, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. User Eligibility

Party Creation: Creating a party requires a Spotify Premium account. By logging in to Spotify, you give us permission to access specific information from your Spotify account as described in the Privacy Policy.

Joining a Party: To join a party, no Spotify account is required; users can join by simply providing a name.

3. Permissions and Account Information

When you log in to Spotify to create a party, the Service will request permissions to:

  • Access account information, including email and subscription type (e.g., premium).
  • View currently playing songs and the playback state.
  • Modify playback settings, such as starting or stopping music.

4. Data Collection and Usage

When logged in through Spotify, we collect certain data, including:

  • User ID: Your unique Spotify identifier.
  • Email: To authenticate and verify your account.
  • Username, Account Type, and Profile Image: For display purposes within the app.
  • Access and Refresh Tokens: To maintain your session with Spotify.

These data are used solely within the app to provide party functionality and are never shared with third parties. For full details on how data is managed, see our Privacy Policy.

5. Account Management and Deletion

Account Deletion: Users may delete their account within the app at any time. This action will permanently delete all Spotify-related data, including any party data created by the user.

Session Expiry: Sessions are automatically deleted every three days. Users can also log out manually at any time.

6. Service Availability and Disclaimer of Liability

The Service is provided "as-is" without any warranties or guarantees. We do not assume responsibility for any downtime, including issues resulting from the Spotify API, outages, or changes in Spotify’s functionality.

7. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Notice of significant changes will be provided, and continued use of the Service after modifications signifies acceptance of the revised Terms.
